Chrome side-panel assistant

Chat with any webpage.

Summarize a page or a whole site, extract company details, and translate selections. Free to use. No account. No API key to paste.

Works in Chrome. Shortcut Alt+Y. Chats stay on your computer.

Built for reading the web faster

PageChat sits in the Chrome side panel so you never leave the page.

01

Chat about this tab

Ask questions in plain language. Turn on Include this page when the answer should come from the current tab.

02

Summarize a whole site

Reads public same-site pages and rolls them into one brief: brand, offer, structure, and gaps.

03

Extract company info

Pulls legal name, address, phone, email, and filing numbers from footer, copyright, and structured data.

04

Translate

Click Translate in the side panel, paste text, or right-click a selection. Chat stays the default until you switch.

05

No key to configure

Install and start. The model runs through PageChat’s hosted proxy. Settings only cover temperature and crawl limits.

06

Chats stay local

Conversations live in Chrome storage on your computer. Export any thread as Markdown.

How it works

Three steps. No signup.

1. Install

Add PageChat in Chrome, then pin it. Click the icon or press Alt+Y to open the side panel.

2. Open a page

Stay on the tab you care about. Check Include this page only when you want the model to read it.

3. Ask or summarize

Chat, summarize the site, extract company info, or translate the selection from the right-click menu.

Questions

Do I need my own API key?

No. PageChat is ready to use after install. The model key stays on our server, not in the extension.

Is page content always sent?

No. Default chat does not include the tab. Content is sent only when you send a message that needs the model, check Include this page, summarize the site, extract company info, translate, paste an image, or use the right-click menu.

Which pages can it read?

Most public http(s) pages. Chrome Web Store, extension pages, some PDFs, and chrome:// URLs cannot be read. Pages behind login, and URLs the site does not link to, are not crawled.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no subscription wall in the extension.
